Wow! Now that is one sour brew.
Drinking this made my face scrunch up, especially after the first sip. It pours a bright orange color with an airy head that recedes quickly.
It’s delicious! Strong waves of citrus, tanginess, and a sweet finish that reminded me of honey. I can’t say that I tasted the passion fruit, but then I rarely eat passion fruit so what do I know what that actually tastes like.
The unexpected part of drinking this brew was that it lifted my mood. The experience of something super sour making me pucker, reminded me of eating really sour candy as a child. And all of a sudden, I got this urge to feel the grass between my toes…
Words that come to mind when describing this Two Roots Passion Fruit Pucker, include:
Playful
Refreshing
Powerful
Happy
SOUR
Sour beers tend to pair well with strong-flavored foods, such as intense cheeses like gorgonzola and salty fatty meats like prosciutto. They also go well with some seafood dishes, especially mussels cooked in a lemony broth. If you’re on the East Coast, this is a must-have at your next crab fest! I also recommend pairing this with strong-flavored smoked meats (we enjoyed some smoked Brats and potato salad while drinking this brew) or pork chops.
This non-alcoholic sour hit the mark. I enjoyed an unexpectedly fun drinking experience that brought out my inner child. I recommend this brew for summer outings and BBQs with friends and family.
Crack open a Two Roots Passion Fruit Pucker and enjoy some playtime!
